The users of Meta Quest do not require Facebook Account to Log in
Facebook’s parent company, Meta is about to launch a replacement account login system for its Quest VR headsets which would not require users to log in with a Facebook account. Instead of which the users would require a new Meta account, that doesn't have to link with Facebook. Meta will soon be rolling out this new account login system during the month of August, the company has already confirmed on this matter. However, the company has mentioned while announcing that those who all are new to Meta VR devices or have merged their Oculus account previously with a Facebook account, they are required to create a new Meta account and Meta Horizon profile.

As per the announcement made by Meta, the company will be launching a new account login system for its Quest VR headsets where the need to log in with a Facebook account is not required. Well, this new technique is going to roll out to users by the next month. This new login system indicates towards the users of Meta Quest who have already merged their Oculus and Facebook account, who would now require a new Meta account which needs to be created along with the Meta Horizon profile to use the headset. Well, the ones who have been logging in their VR device with their Oculus account will keep using their headset till January 1, 2023.
The company has explained that 'Your Meta account isn't a social media profile; well it helps you to log into your VR devices and examine and manage your purchased apps in one place. In the future, we'll extend the functionality of Meta account so that you will be able to use it to log into different Meta devices.'
In general, Meta even keeps a note of the fact that the Quest headset users also have a choice to add their Meta account to identical accounts centre as their Facebook or Instagram account so that they are able to chat with their friends within the VR version of Messenger.
As per the company, the Quest users will be prompted while creating a new Meta account to create a Meta Horizon profile, along with a username, avatar, profile photo and many other things as well.
Well, it has been claimed by Meta that this new account will be offering privacy controls, which would include various privacy choices within the settings that would comprise of Open to Everyone, Friends and Family, and Solo accounts. Once the user selects this the users can get an choice to review and make sure their individual privacy settings are set according to their needs.
